Kilim

Nomadic families originally wove Kilims as a symbol of status and wealth. They were used as precious gifts passed along as dowry pieces with little functional value. Through time, they were used as curtains and coverings. Nowadays, these flat woven rugs share the floors with many designer rugs all over the world.
